Griselda Black has over six years of experience delivering career transition workshops for military service members preparing to enter the civilian workforce and over 13 years of management experience. Griselda has a strong familiarity with both military structure and the civilian workforce, which enables her to provide effective counseling solutions in areas such as, self-appraisal, career decision making, job search techniques, résumé preparation, interviewing skills, appropriate attire, job offer and salary negotiations.
Jim Coffey is a seasoned leader and coach. Jim currently is an consultant with the Organizational Development and Leadership group at Federal Occupational Health, where he works with clients many different agencies on strategic issues as well as providing coaching to individuals and teams. Jim has held leadership positions in the federal and private sectors, and also has extensive experience working in 501C3 non-for-profit organizations.
Ronna Detrick is a seasoned Career Coach with more than 15 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, placement, leadership development, outplacement, facilitation, and training. For the past five years she has worked for Insignia as a DOL/TAP trainer. In that time she has offered workshops to thousands of military members. A former Army spouse herself, she has considered it a privilege, week after week, to offer her expertise and heart to those who are so deserving. Simultaneously, for the past 18 months, she has been working with TSA employees. Now fulltime, Ronna steps away from her DOL role and moves exclusively into the world of TSA - helping clients navigate the resume and interview processes with increasing success and motivation. Ronna has a Bachelors in Business and Communications and a Masters of Divinity, the latter of which fuels her ongoing writing and consulting work. Above/beyond all these, she is mom to the two most incredible, talented, and beautiful teenage girls on the planet.
Barbara Engemoen has spent the majority of her career providing EAP services to Federal employees. Barbara has over 15 years of career coaching experience and has worked with numerous clients on issues such as career development, resume writing, and interest assessment. Barbara is particularly skilled at the Federal application process and has acted as a mentor for her peers in understanding the process.
Denise Entzminger is a career development strategist who for seven-plus years has motivated over 3000 military and civilian employees across the country and across the globe to identify and employ their professional skills and personal drive to achieve the career results of their dreams. Her twelve-plus years of hands on customer focused human resource development experience coupled with her master's-level education in Human Resource Development has assisted her in inspiring her clients.
Darlene Jackson-Bowen has over 22 years of professional experience as a both a leader, coach, and consultant with state and federal agencies, the private sector, universities, business, and the medical health care industry. She is an educator at heart and provides education, training, and development to a diverse clientele of professionals. Her areas of professional competencies include: 360 degree Assessments and Feedback; Career Management and Transition Consultation; Focus Group Facilitation; Facilitating Performance of Diversity Teams; Leadership Effectiveness Coaching; Change Management; and Workforce Development Training.
Martie Johnson is a 15-year veteran of the Navy Marine Corps, serving as a chaplain and counselor, who transitioned his expertise to career counseling through conducting workshops for separating military service members and their spouses to public-sector and private-sector employment. He conducts workshops for job seekers on effective job-search techniques, resume and cover letter writing skills, interviewing and job-offer negotiations. He has specific areas of expertise in career assessment tools and professional development instruments.
Jennifer Kocab is an experienced career counselor who has particular expertise in assisting military members, military families and federal employees to assess and leverage their skills to find the perfect job for them. She also conducts workshops for job seekers on the job search process, resume writing and interview preparation. Jennifer specializes in resume preparation and interview techniques. She is also a licensed attorney.
Melissa has over 20 years of program management, fundraising, marketing, human resources, and training experience. Most of her career has been working with a variety of government contractors, not-for-profit organizations and the US government. She most recently served as the District Manager for the South Puget Sound Region for DENTSPLY Implants. Until February 2014, she served as the Project Director of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) for Insignia Federal Group, where she led a large team of transition trainers located throughout the Western part of the United States and the Asia Pacific Region. She managed the delivery of approximately 1200 Department of Labor employment workshops per year. She continues with Insignia Federal Group in her current role as a career coach and transition trainer.
From March 2007 to May 2010, Melissa served as the Executive Director of the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O), the annual charitable fundraising drive for the Department of Defense. She managed and implemented the CFC-O for all overseas DoD commands. The 2009 CFC-O raised nearly $16 million for American charities and military Family Support and Youth Programs. Melissa has traveled extensively in the overseas areas and lived abroad for over 10 years of her professional career.
Melissa brings a great deal of expertise to the career coaching and the TAP Programs. She began as a TAP Facilitator in Hanau, Germany in 2005 and then managed the European TAP program supervising workshop delivery throughout the region. Melissa delivers employment workshops at various military installations to assist service members and their spouses with the transition to civilian life. Throughout her career, she has recruited and trained hundreds of new staff members and volunteers and evaluated their performance. Melissa also delivers career coaching workshops on topics such as resume writing, federal employment, interviewing techniques, and salary negotiation at airports for Transportation Security Administration employees.
In recent years, Melissa has provided consulting services for various companies and not-for-profit organizations providing training, coordinating special events and management consulting services. She continues to serve as the Business Operations Manager for the Northwest Center for Prosthodontics, a specialty dental practice in Olympia, Washington.
Before joining the TAP Program in 2005, Melissa served for over four years as the Executive Director of the CFC-O and three years as the European Campaign Director at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Prior to joining the CFC-O, she worked in international relief and development fundraising for Global Impact, served as a Services Coordinator and Station Manager with the American Red Cross in various locations within Europe; the Patient Assistance Officer and Credentials Coordinator at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany; a Patient Financial Services Counselor at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina; and as a Customer Service Supervisor with United Services Life Insurance Company, Arlington, Virginia.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Meredith College, Raleigh, North Carolina and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Her education also includes master’s degree coursework in Human Relations with the University of Oklahoma as well as numerous training courses in human resources, federal employment, sales, financial management and training and facilitation.

Emily Minkle has 22 years of active duty service and professional educator experience with the Department of Defense. Now a career transition trainer with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, she conducts workshops on self-appraisals, job search and interviewing techniques, resume and cover letter writing skills and providing counseling for military service members to transition into federal occupations and civilian careers.
Barbara Raines is a corporate trainer and career coach with many years of experience providing outstanding training programs for hundreds and hundreds of managers and employees. She has been in the corporate training field since 2000 and is known for her dynamic, motivating and humorous speaking style and for “Bringing order to Chaos”.
Taking her speaking talents into the world of work, Barbara brings a variety of training topics to the government and corporate sectors. With extensive experience customizing programs, Barbara has delivered career workshops which include Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring, Teamwork, Sales Techniques, Customer Service, Presentation Skills, Interview Skills and Resume Writing just to name a few.
Barbara worked with AT&T as a long distance operator and several other positions which ended 9 years of service due to office closure. At which she started with Kraft Foods, Inc. where she held several positions such as, Executive Assistant, Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Help Desk Supervisor, Customer Planner Trainer, and Sales Representative ending her 11 years with Kraft Foods as a Customer Category Manager Analyst.
She has also had the privilege of serving active duty personnel as a Family Readiness Program Trainer, Transition Assistance Program Trainer, and various other volunteer opportunities for military families in in the US and abroad.
As an active member of Association for Talent Development (ATD), Barbara continues to volunteer with her local chapter in-between her travels. Barbara recently completed her M.A.Ed. in Training and Development and she also holds a Masters in Christian Counseling.
Barbara’s strength comes through her unique ability to use her business experiences to understand the knowledge and skills her participants need to increase their performance and productivity.
Renate Stewart has a Master of Science in education, counseling and personnel service and is a Master Trainer with 20-plus years of career advising and counseling, academic counseling. She regularly facilitates employment transition programs for job seekers enter both the public-sector and private-sector workforce. Her areas of expertise include security clearance transference, self-assessment for career interests, career search and development, resume writing, interview preparation, job offer evaluation and salary negotiation.
JoAnn York-Gilmore earned a Master of Science in systems management and is a retired U.S. Army officer. She has 20-plus years' experience in coaching, counseling and human resources leadership. Her areas of expertise include identifying transferable business and work skills, creating effective resumes, developing interview skills and establishing career and employment research techniques for public-sector and private-sector employment initiatives.
